Eight-Bit Chase

Bylla: "Let me handle this. I used to play River Raid."
Ryqn: "He's getting away! That ski's got 8-bit acceleration!"

VHS Drone

Bylla flies a drone built from a VHS recorder

Amanda: "You built a drone... out of a VHS recorder!?"
Bylla: "1980s ingenuity: solve everything with magnets and recklessness."

Drop the Disk

Ryqn confronts a suspect with a floppy disk in a retro software store

Amanda: "You killed him to steal a copy of WordPerfect?"
Ryqn: "Drop the disk, Miami style."

Hit List

The team finds a criminal notes hit list targeting floppy disk smugglers

Bylla: "Whoa. The killer's targeting floppy disk smugglers!"
Amanda: "He knew too much about the 300 baud underworld..."
FBE: "Still better UI than Windows 8."

Magenta Miami

The gang stands in neon Miami beside a sports car

Bylla: "I feel like we just entered a cocaine commercial."
Amanda: "Why is everything magenta and sweating?"

Next Time

Bylla is asked to install missing fonts and MS-DOS

Bylla: "It's asking me to install 14 missing fonts and... MS-DOS?"
Amanda: "Just admit it - we peaked with ASCII art."

Next time: Can the gang fix a router with a cassette tape? Stay tuned!

Next Time on The Xavier Media Comic:

The case is closed, the disk is dropped, and the next problem is already asking for missing fonts, MS-DOS, and a cassette-tape router fix.

A routine trip to 1985 Miami becomes a neon software noir. Bylla, Amanda, Ryqn, and FBE follow a trail through BBS calls, ancient portables, water chases, VHS drones, and the dangerous world of floppy disk smugglers.
